Latin Jazz Auditions: Monday December 12 after school
We will be auditioning for:
1 trumpet
1 trombone
1 sax (possibly 2)
1 piano
1 bass (stand up or electric)
1 conga
1 timbale
1 clave/cowbell
1 shaker
Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays 2:30-4:30 from January -May. Please make sure you can be at all rehearsals before you commit to auditioning.
Audition will consist of the following songs to be learned by memory.
Horns: learn the melody and be able to play a simple solo over the chords
Piano/Bass: learn the chords and be able to play the chords for the melody and play backgrounds for solos.
Percussion: Learn the patterns (timbale and conga be willing to solo)
