What is Colorguard?
Colorguard is a year-round activity that involves dance, flags, rifles, and sabres. Auditions are usually held in April and again in December. In the fall the colorguard performs with the marching band at parades, field tournaments, and other activities. In the winter the colorguard competes in WGASC WinterGuard Association of Southern California, against other colorguards.

Danielle Nicklaus- Danielle Nicklaus is in her first year of instructing at Patriot. Her experience includes marching at Esperanza Drum and Bugle Corps, Esperanza de luz winterguard, Fantasia Winterguard, Mandarins, Boston Crusaders, and the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps. She recently received her Bachelor Degree from Cal State San Bernadino and is currently working on her Master's Degree in Education.
